Responsibilities

• The Commissioners shall establish an annual budget in accordance to the state statutes overseen by the Division of Local Government Services in the NJ Department of Community Affairs.
• The Commissioners shall establish accounting processes and controls that permit oversight and control of all expenditures paid for by public funds.
• The Commissioners shall hold monthly Open Public Meetings to review and approve legitimate, budgeted expenditures, backed up by proper receipts.
• The Commissioners shall consider, where appropriate, those steps necessary to deal with unexpected or emergency expenditures.
• The Commissioners shall provide an open, public forum for the residents and taxpayers of the Fire District; and, do everything in their power to remedy public complaints.

Vendors paid over $17,500

A list of attorneys, advisors, consultants and any person, firm, Business, partnership, corporation or other organization which received any remuneration of $17,500 or more during the preceding fiscal year for any reason whatsoever rendered to the Fire District, but shall not include volunteers receiving benefits under a Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP).
