Mission and Responsibility Statement

The Dennis Township Board of Fire Commissioners Fire District #2 was established to provide financial stability for the Dennis Volunteer Fire Company.  The Commission over sees the annual operating budget.  Our goal is to provide the community with a professional fire service and to protect our communities from harm’s way.

The responsibilities of the Dennis Township Board of Fire Commissioners Fire District #2 are to maintain equipment, oversee all operating budgets, purchase equipment and to provide professional Fire Services.

Vendors paid over $17,500

A list of attorneys, advisors, consultants and any other person, firm, business, partnership, corporation or other organization which received any remuneration of $17,500 or more during the preceding fiscal year for any reason whatsoever rendered to the Fire District, but shall not include volunteers receiving benefits under a Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP).

Where: Volunteer Fire Dept., 721 Petersburg Rd, Dennisville NJ 08214
When: 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
Formal action may be taken at any scheduled meeting.

  • January  7,  2025 – regular business meeting
  • February 4,  2025 – regular business meeting
  • February 15, 2025 – annual elections *Note: not a scheduled meeting. Meeting time – 2 to 9pm at the Fire Hall
  • March 4, 2025 – election of officers for 2025 & regular business meeting
  • April 1, 2025 – regular business meeting
  • May 6, 2025 – regular business meeting
  • June – NO MEETING
  • July 1, 2025 – regular business meeting
  • August – NO MEETING
  • September 2, 2025 – regular business meeting
  • October 7, 2025 – regular business meeting & f/y 2026 budget workshop
  • November 4, 2025 – regular business meeting & f/y 2026 budget approval
  • December 3, 2025 – public hearing of f/y 2026 budget & final adoption of f/y 2026 budget & regular business meeting
  • January 6, 2026 – regular business meeting
